Pictures of the new Nokia Android X smartphone have been leaked ahead of its speculated launch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The pictures were posted to Chinese Windows Phone fan site coolxap.com, and show the phone and its interface from various angles, which is expected to be aimed at the budget end of the market.
The new handset will be Nokia's first Android device, and bears clear physcial similarities to the Nokia Lumia Icon, albeit smaller. The display is believed to be a 4" WVGA screen.
It appears to support dual-SIM cards and comes with side-mounted volume buttons and physical home button. Rumours have been rife speculating the specs of the rear-mounted camera, which is now expected to feature a 3 Megapixel camera (lower than the previously rumoured 5MP) and a fixed focus lens.
The user interface features Windows Phone Live tiles layer, and Nokia's HERE suite is more likely to be used than Google Maps, Android's creator. It's also believed to run a Nokia app store as opposed to Google Play. It remains to be seen if Google Mail will be the email service of choice over Microsoft's Outlook.
The processor is believed to be a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon, with 512MB of memory and 4GB of storage.
Nokia has been teasing the new release on its blog for some time, and has now launched a MWC countdown.
The Nokia Android X smartphone is be expected to be officially launched on February 24.
