Bypass/Use Proxy Server

Hi,
I will be sharing with you few steps to take in order to use or bypass a proxy server using Google Chrome browser without affecting your system setting. All changes are within the Google Chrome browser alone.

You are expected to have downloaded and installed Google Chrome browser.


Step 1


Click on the the Customize and control Google Chrome Icon and select Settings from the drop down list





Step 2


Click on Extensions at the top left corner of the settings page


Step 3


Scroll down the page and Click o Get more extensions


Step 4


From the extensions page, search for "Proxy Switchysharp, wait for it to load and Click Free as shown in the image below.


Step 5


From the confirmation pop up, click add


Step 5


Wait until the extension is installed and click on New Profile


Step 6


Enter your new proxy in the HTTP Proxy field and the corresponding port number, also enter a Profile Name to save it as and click on the save button. If you want to Bypass a proxy server, you don't have to create a New Profile.


Step 7


Ensure your New Profile is saved and close the window.


Step 8


A new Icon will be added at the top right corner of the Google Browser, click o it and Select your New Profile, if you want to Bypass your Proxy Server, select Direct Connection and enjoy surfing the internet without any limitation!
